Roof Replacement Gath Hall & Lodge - Gathland State Park

Background

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is issuing this solicitation for the Roof Replacement project at Gath Hall and Lodge located in Gathland State Park, Jefferson, MD. The project aims to ensure the structural integrity and longevity of these facilities by replacing their roofs. Work Details

The contractor is required to provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and insurance necessary to remove and replace the roofs of Gath Hall and Lodge. Specific tasks include: - Removal of existing roofing materials - Installation of new roofing systems - Repair or replacement of deteriorated/damaged wood roof sheathing (estimated 200 square feet) - Repair or replacement of unsuitable mortar (estimated 20 linear feet). The total bid must include base bid costs as well as unit prices for additional work as specified in the bid documents.

Period of Performance

The work must be completed within 90 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. The bid price must remain firm for a period of 120 calendar days from the bid opening date.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed in Maryland and have a minimum of five years’ experience in similar construction work. This procurement is limited to certified small businesses under the Small Business Reserve program. A minimum of 51% of the work must be performed by the prime contractor's own workforce. All bidders are required to submit various attachments including a Bid/Proposal Affidavit, Bid Bond, and a list of subcontractors.
