Background

The University of Maryland is seeking bids for the Physics BAS Infrastructure Upgrade, aimed at enhancing the building automation services within its facilities. This upgrade is part of the university's ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency and maintain a modern infrastructure that supports its educational mission.

Work Details

The contract involves providing comprehensive building automation services, including but not limited to: upgrading existing systems, installing new equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and providing necessary training for university staff. The successful bidder will be responsible for delivering all materials and services as outlined in the specifications provided in Section C of the solicitation. The scope of work includes system inspection, testing, and acceptance procedures as detailed in the solicitation.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to be completed within 180 calendar days from the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the University of Maryland campus located in College Park, Maryland.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific insurance requirements including Commercial General Liability Insurance with coverage limits of $2 million per occurrence, Professional Liability Insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence, and Workmen's Compensation Insurance as mandated by Maryland law. Bidders are also required to submit a completed Bid Affidavit and a Conflict of Interest Affidavit with their proposals.
