Summary (Newest Update)

Background The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst is seeking information from industry regarding the provision of a non-developmental or commercial-off-the-shelf device to interface between the MQ-4C Triton Aircraft and the Getac X500G3 Ruggedized Laptop, known as the Dynamic Information Notebook Organizer (DINO, P/N 504045-1001). This initiative supports the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Air Systems program and aims to replace the end-of-life Getac X500G3 laptop with an independent interface device that maintains aircraft compatibility while simplifying configuration management. Work Details The contract involves the development of an Aircraft-to-Computer Interface Device (ACID) that meets the following specifications: - **Device Requirements**: Must be ruggedized and compatible with the MQ-4C Triton Aircraft. - **I/O Interfaces**: - USB Type A 3.0: 2 ports - HDMI (Video): 1 port - VGA: 1 port - USB Thunderbolt 3.0: 1 port - MIL-STD-1553B (2-channel): 1 port - Ethernet 10/100 (RJ-45): 1 port - Ethernet Gigabit (RJ-45): 1 port - Serial Port (RS-232): 2 ports - **Operational Features**: - Power consumption must be constrained by design. - Must pass testing per MIL-STD-810H for storage and operating conditions. - Humidity range must accommodate both operating and non-operating conditions. - Normal use defined as operating for 8 hours per day at full usage in a flight-deck environment and non-operating for 16 hours per day in a hangar environment. - Portability must allow for one-man liftability per MIL-STD-1472. - Any memory or storage must be volatile. - Ruggedization features must comply with MIL-STD-810 standards. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the product will be delivered to or performed at. Bidder Requirements Respondents must provide administrative information including organization name, address, contact details, business type, and country of origin for main components. Technical responses should include feasibility comments on draft specifications, proposed solutions detailing design and materials, company experience in similar projects, technical capabilities, rough order of magnitude cost estimates, potential risks and challenges, and a list of authorized distributors. Respondents are encouraged to identify any Department of Defense programs currently employing their solutions.
