Work Details

The work under this contract includes: 1. Paving improvements on Shenandoah Road from Main Street to the Borough Line, which involves milling existing bituminous pavement (1½” – 2” depth) and overlaying with Superpave WMA Wearing Course (PG 64-22, <0.3 Million ESALs, 9.5 mm mix, SRL-L, 1.5” depth). A scratch course will also be placed along the roadway with a maximum depth of 0.5”. 2. Similar milling and overlay work on Spring Street from Market Street to Center Street, including a Superpave Base Course with a maximum depth of 4”. 3. Additional work on Vine Street from Market Street to Center Street with similar specifications as above. 4. All work must comply with PA Prevailing Wage requirements and include necessary traffic control measures as per MUTCD guidelines.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon receipt of the notice to proceed and must be completed within 90 calendar days. Liquidated damages will apply at a rate of $975 per day for any delays beyond this period.
