Background

The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the United States, serving approximately 161,000 students across 203 schools. This Request for Proposal (RFP) aims to solicit bids from qualified vendors to provide professional learning, instructional strategies, and job-embedded coaching supports to enhance educational outcomes for diverse student populations.

Work Details

Vendors are invited to submit proposals for one or both of the following components: 1) High Impact Instructional Strategies, which includes training on Brain-Friendly Instruction, Cooperative Learning, and Active Student Engagement; 2) Coaching Professional Learning and Supports for Central Service Staff Members in Title I, ESL, and Advanced Learning Services. The selected vendor(s) will design and deliver professional learning focused on evidence-based strategies that increase student engagement and retention. Specific deliverables include developing a unified coaching model for central staff, training on effective coaching techniques, and providing job-embedded coaching support.

Period of Performance

The contract will be awarded for an initial term of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms based on performance and available funding.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the Wake County Public School System in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must demonstrate at least 10 years of experience delivering large-scale professional learning to K-12 districts similar in size to WCPSS. They must have expertise in adult learning theories and instructional coaching models. Vendors must also be licensed to do business in North Carolina and comply with background check requirements for all personnel involved in service delivery.
