Biohazard & Sharps Cleanup Services

Background

The Regional Transit Authority of New Orleans (RTA) is seeking qualified vendors to provide Biohazard & Sharps Cleanup Services at various RTA locations. This initiative aims to ensure safe and compliant disposal of biohazardous materials, aligning with the agency's commitment to public health and safety.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive Biohazard & Sharps Cleanup Services, which include but are not limited to: - Safe collection and disposal of biohazardous waste from specified RTA locations. - Compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding hazardous waste management. - Provision of necessary equipment and personnel for cleanup operations. - Potential inclusion of portable restroom facilities as needed during cleanup operations. - The contract will be a fixed price agreement for a total duration of three years, covering all labor, materials, supplies, services, tools, and equipment required for effective execution.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and will last for three years, with options for two additional one-year renewals at the discretion of the RTA.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the following locations: 1. 2817 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119 2. 3900/3901 Desire Parkway, New Orleans, LA 70126 3. 8201 Willow Street, New Orleans, LA 70118

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with the following requirements: - Submission of a Unit Price Form (Attachment I), Non-Collusion Affidavit, Participant Information Form, and Certificates of Insurance. - Bidders must demonstrate their capability to meet the service requirements outlined in the solicitation. - No Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal has been established for this project as there are no subcontracting opportunities.
