The Town of Apex is seeking a qualified professional engineering, landscape architecture, and sports field design team to renovate an existing soccer field at Hunter Street Park. The current field is experiencing performance issues, including deterioration of artificial turf and potential drainage problems. The goal of the contract is to assess the existing conditions, ensure compliance with stormwater regulations, and develop recommendations for resurfacing the field while exploring the feasibility of expanding the field footprint for spectator seating.

Work Details

The scope of services includes: 1. Project Management & Coordination: Conduct kickoff meetings, review as-built plans and soil reports, provide a detailed schedule, and maintain communication with Town staff. 2. Field Assessment & Existing Conditions Evaluation: Perform topographic and boundary surveys, subsurface investigations, and surface condition assessments. 3. Stormwater Quality & Quantity Compliance Evaluation: Conduct regulatory reviews and evaluate existing stormwater systems. 4. Western Expansion & Seating Feasibility: Analyze grading needs, potential seating areas, ADA compliance, drainage improvements, irrigation repairs, and provide conceptual layouts. 5. Public Information Session: Prepare presentation materials for the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) and update project communications. 6. Construction Documents: Develop civil site plans including demolition plans, grading plans, stormwater details, utility coordination plans, sports field technical drawings, and specifications at various completion levels (30%, 60%, 90%, and 100%). 7. Bidding Assistance: Prepare final bid packages and assist in pre-bid meetings. 8. Cost Estimates: Provide planning-level cost estimates and detailed itemized estimates consistent with construction documents. 9. Construction Administration: Attend pre-construction meetings, conduct site inspections, verify conformance with plans, respond to RFIs during construction, review pay applications and change orders.
