Background

The City of Ames is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the purchase and installation of office furniture for the Parks & Recreation Administration Offices, the Parks & Recreation Maintenance Shop, and the City Manager’s Offices. Work Details

The contract includes the purchase and installation of various office furniture items such as desks, chairs, bookcases, work surfaces, and storage solutions. Specific items include:

10500 Series Floorstand Full Height Pedestal

- Bookcases

Monitor Arms

- Worksurfaces in various dimensions and finishes (e.g., Pinnacle laminate) - Flex Charge units - NEATTECH MINI units The furniture must be sourced from specified manufacturers like HON and ESI. The proposal must also include delivery and installation services at designated city locations.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by June 24, 2026.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be authorized dealers for the proposed systems furniture. They are required to provide references from previous clients for similar projects. Additionally, bidders must submit a notarized Local Business Certificate if applicable to qualify for local consideration under the city's procurement program.
