Background

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) was established in 1969 by the Colorado General Assembly to develop, operate, and maintain a mass transportation system for its service area. With a population exceeding 3.09 million, RTD's service area spans 2,345 square miles across eight counties in the Denver metro area. The agency is governed by a 15-member Board of Directors who appoints a General Manager and Chief Executive Officer (GM/CEO) responsible for daily operations and management.

Work Details

RTD is seeking a qualified executive search firm to assist in recruiting and selecting a successor GM/CEO, as the current GM/CEO will leave in May 2027. The selected firm will: - Update the GM/CEO job description and executive profile to align with RTD’s strategic priorities. - Conduct an equitable, transparent national search to produce a diverse slate of highly qualified candidates. - Facilitate a rigorous selection process, including a public finalist stage. - Conduct professional reference checks and preliminary background reviews on late-stage candidates. - Oversee the offer and contract negotiations process. Payments are anticipated to be made on a Fixed Price basis.

Period of Performance

August 1, 2026 - May 27, 2027.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed primarily at RTD's headquarters located at 1660 Blake St., Denver, CO.

Bidder Requirements

RTD encourages Offerors to pursue subcontracting opportunities with Small Business Enterprises (SBEs). Offerors are expected to document their efforts to include SBEs in their proposals.
