DES - O'Brien - Leg. Bldg. Cleaning

Background

The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is issuing a solicitation for the cleaning services of the O'Brien Legislative Building. The agency's mission includes providing professional services to support public works projects in Washington State. The goal of this contract is to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the legislative building, which is essential for its operation.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for comprehensive cleaning services at the O'Brien Legislative Building, including but not limited to: - Daily cleaning of offices, restrooms, and common areas - Periodic deep cleaning - Window washing - Floor maintenance (including carpet cleaning and hard surface floor care) - Waste management Specific tasks may include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring that all areas meet health and safety standards.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to last until June 30, 2026, with ongoing services required throughout this timeframe.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the O'Brien Legislative Building located at 504 15th Avenue SW, Olympia, WA 98504.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with Washington State prevailing wage rates applicable to this public works project. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to achieve voluntary diverse business goals of 12% MBE, 8% WBE, 5% SBE or PWSBE, and 5% Veterans. Bidders must register in the DES Diversity Compliance program (B2Gnow) and may contact the Office of Minority and Women's Business Enterprise (OMWBE) for information on certified firms.
