Miller Park Improvements

Background

The City of Winston-Salem, through its Recreation & Parks Department, is seeking to improve Miller Park. The goal of this project is to enhance park facilities and ensure compliance with the 2026 guidelines for 'Universal Access Trails'.

Work Details

The improvements to Miller Park will include: - Renovation of the restroom facility - Installation of park safety lighting (to be installed by others) - Enhancements to the park trail system - Increased accessibility to park amenities - Additional park furnishings The project will also involve the removal of mature trees, with an expectation for the contractor to minimize tree removal while protecting existing trees.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to be completed by July 8, 2026.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. A 100% Performance & Payment Bond will be required from the awarded contractor. Additionally, there are M/WBE subcontracting goals of 6% MBE and 4% WBE that must be met separately.
