The Gaston County Public Works Department is seeking proposals from qualified towing service providers to establish a pricing structure and vendor source for motor fleet towing services. This contract is separate from the existing Wrecker Rotation Callout System used for police, fire, and emergency services related to public vehicles.
The contractor will provide 24-hour on-call towing services for Gaston County's motor fleet. Services include basic and heavy towing as needed, with a requirement to respond within one hour for towing requests within the county border. Vendors must submit pricing on the Towing Rates pricing schedule provided in Exhibit A, which includes costs for: - Light duty (less than 10,000 lbs) - Mid duty (10,000 lbs to 26,000 lbs) - Heavy duty towing (over 26,000 lbs). All pricing must be fully inclusive of all costs including materials, labor, equipment, and insurance. The contract will last for two years with an option for a one-year renewal at the county's discretion.
