Background

The City of Winston-Salem is seeking improvements to Miller Park, aiming to enhance the park's facilities and accessibility. The project includes a renovated restroom facility, safety lighting, trail system improvements, and additional park furnishings. The goal is to ensure that the renovated trails conform to the 2026 guidelines for 'Universal Access Trails'. The contractor is expected to collaborate closely with the City and the Landscape Architect to minimize tree removal while protecting existing trees.

Work Details

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. A 100% Performance & Payment Bond will be required from the awarded contractor. Additionally, there are M/WBE subcontracting goals set at 6% MBE and 4% WBE that must be met separately.
