Mental Health Care Services for Law Enforcement Personnel

Background

The New Mexico Municipal League Offices/NM Self-Insurers’ Fund is seeking to establish a contract for mental health care services specifically tailored for law enforcement personnel. The goal of this contract is to create a network of healthcare providers or jointly operate a common healthcare service that aims to reduce healthcare costs, improve the quality of care, and enhance access to care for first responders and their families.

Work Details

The contract involves providing confidential, free-of-charge mental health resources to assist first responders and their immediate families with various mental health services. These services include treatment for job-related PTSD, substance abuse issues, couples and family therapy, stress management, depression treatment, and other critical care needs. The prospective contractor, Public Safety Psychology Group, led by Dr. Troy Rodgers, has extensive experience working with over 140 local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Period of Performance

The term of the prospective contract is subject to the approval process outlined in the sole source request.

Place of Performance

The services will be provided in New Mexico, specifically targeting law enforcement personnel within the state.

Bidder Requirements

The prospective contractor must be an active SHARE vendor. Dr. Troy Rodgers is uniquely qualified as he is the only psychologist in New Mexico capable of providing these specific mental health services tailored to public safety professionals.
