Natural Gas Provider for Fayette County Public Schools

Background

The Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) Purchasing Department is seeking a natural gas provider to deliver natural gas services to various locations within the school district. The goal of this Request for Quotes (RFQ) is to secure competitive rates for natural gas services that will support the heating of facilities, kitchen equipment, and generators as needed.

Work Details

The contract entails providing and delivering natural gas service to all locations/accounts defined in Appendix A of the solicitation. The primary usage of the natural gas will be for facility heating, kitchen equipment supply, and generator supply if necessary. Respondents must provide a fixed price quote that includes all transportation, balancing, and service fees, excluding taxes. Additionally, respondents are required to demonstrate their technical fitness by providing proof of licensing and experience in supplying natural gas within K-12 educational environments in Georgia. A transition plan detailing how the account will be moved from the current provider with minimal disruption must also be included.

Period of Performance

The initial start date for the contract is July 1, 2026, with a duration of either twelve (12) or twenty-four (24) months. The resulting agreement may automatically renew for four additional one-year terms unless a price escalation process is initiated.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at various locations throughout Fayette County as specified in Appendix A of the RFQ.

Bidder Requirements

Respondents must provide proof of licensing and experience in providing natural gas services in Georgia's K-12 education sector. They are encouraged to register with the issuing agent for updates on addenda and award notifications. All required forms must be included with the submission; failure to do so may result in a non-responsive declaration.
