Well No. 12 Booster Pump Assembly Replacements

Background

The Village of Cary is issuing a Request for Sealed Bids (RFB) for the Well No. 12 Booster Pump Assembly Replacements project. The goal of this contract is to engage a qualified firm to provide all necessary labor, equipment, appurtenances, and materials for the removal and replacement of two booster pump assemblies at the Village's well facility located at 286 Moders Road, Cary, IL. This work is essential for maintaining the water supply system in compliance with IEPA and Village standards.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for: - Removal and disposal of existing booster pump assemblies. - Installation of two complete horizontal booster pump assemblies including pumps, motors, automatic control valves, electrical disconnects, and power connections. - Ensuring that all new equipment matches existing specifications in performance and configuration. - Conducting necessary testing prior to installation by the manufacturer. - Providing new horsepower-rated motor disconnect switches in accordance with NEC Article 430. - All electrical work must comply with current NEC and local authority requirements. The specific equipment includes: - Pumps: Pentair Aurora Model 411 BF (Bronze Fitted), rated performance of 650 GPM at 175 feet TDH at 1750 RPM. - Motors: 60 HP with a service factor of 1.15, operating at 460V / 3-phase / 60 Hz.

Automatic Control Valve

Cla-Val Model 8" 2100G series or equivalent.

Period of Performance

The contractor must complete all work within thirty (30) days after field work begins, specifically during January or February of 2027. The final completion date is set for February 28, 2027.

Place of Performance

All work will be performed at Well No. 12 located at 286 Moders Road, Cary, IL.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and provide a bid bond of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. They are required to submit references from three similar projects and demonstrate experience in completing projects of this nature.
