Background

The Town of Wendell is seeking qualified firms to provide on-call engineering services in response to an increase in Capital Improvement Projects (CIP), public-private development, and other construction-related demands. The goal is to expedite project delivery through professional engineering design services. The intention is to select at least one consultant for each discipline area, potentially multiple for any given discipline. Selected firms will execute a Master Service Agreement (MSA) with the Town, under which supplemental Task Orders will be issued as projects arise.

Work Details

Consultants will provide professional services on an as-needed basis, including but not limited to: field investigations, data collection, analysis, preparation of technical documents and reports, design support, and construction-phase services. The anticipated areas of service include: 1. Geotechnical, Materials Testing, and Special Inspections 2. Survey Services. Each Task Order will define the specific scope, schedule, and fee for the assignment. Consultants must perform these services directly without subcontracting.

Period of Performance

The contract term is two (2) years with an option to renew for up to two additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed in Wendell, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Consultants must have relevant experience and be licensed professionals in North Carolina. They must demonstrate satisfactory past performance without pending claims or debts to the Town. The proposal must include evidence of qualifications and experience related to similar projects. Additionally, participation from minority or women-owned business enterprises (MWBE) is encouraged.
