Aerocet 2200 or Wipeline 2100 Floats

Background

The State of Alaska is issuing an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the procurement of floats specifically designed for the Piper PA-18 'Super Cub' aircraft. The purpose of this contract is to acquire four sets of either Aerocet 2200 or Wipeline 2100 floats, complete with necessary rigging, paperwork, and Supplemental Type Certificates (STC). Work Details

The contractor shall provide four sets of new Aerocet 2200 or Wipeline 2100 floats, including all necessary rigging and paperwork. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that all items are delivered with the appropriate Supplemental Type Certificates (STC). They must also ensure sufficient crating and shipping to the Aircraft Section located at 4825 Aircraft Drive, Anchorage, AK 99502. The contract is a firm, fixed-price agreement.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award, approximately on July 3, 2026, and will last for one year or until completion. Final delivery must occur within 45 days from the estimated delivery date provided by the successful bidder.

The delivery location for the floats and associated equipment is specified as 4825 Aircraft Drive, Anchorage, AK 99502.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a valid Alaska business license prior to the deadline for receipt of bids. Acceptable evidence includes a copy of the business license or a notarized affidavit confirming application and payment for a business license. Bidders must also comply with various state laws related to civil rights and disabilities. Additionally, bids must be submitted under their current Alaska business name to qualify for Alaska Bidder Preference.
