Background

The Township of Toms River is seeking qualifications from vendors to provide general legal and litigation services. This solicitation is part of a fair and open process in accordance with New Jersey statutes, specifically N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et seq. It aims to establish a pool of attorneys who will represent the Township in various legal matters.

Work Details

The selected law firms will serve as pool attorneys for the Township, providing legal representation and services as needed. This includes but is not limited to: - Telephone calls - Correspondence - Legal research - Preparation of ordinances, resolutions, and contracts - Negotiations - Meetings and hearings - Litigation Successful candidates will be placed on a pre-approved list for future legal services.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on the date of award and will last for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the jurisdiction of the Township of Toms River, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. regarding equal employment opportunities and provide necessary documentation such as a Business Registration Certificate prior to contract award. Additionally, bidders are required to submit various forms including a Non-Collusion Affidavit and an Affirmative Action Employee Information Report.
