Design services for the Lawrence Academy Exterior Rehabilitation Project

Background

The Town of Falmouth is seeking qualifications for design services related to the Lawrence Academy Exterior Rehabilitation Project. This project aims to enhance the exterior of the Lawrence Academy located at 20 Academy Lane, Falmouth, MA 02540. The initiative is governed by Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 7C, Sections 44 - 59, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Work Details

The scope of work for this project includes: 1) sanding and repainting clapboard siding; 2) replacing roofing; 3) rehabilitating the cupola and electrifying the bell; 4) restoring portico columns; 5) restoring the portico itself; 6) installing doorjambs and window trim; 7) replacing the handicap accessible ramp at the front entrance; 8) replacing the staircase and landing at the side entrance; 9) performing exterior painting.

Period of Performance

The RFQ will be available starting June 10, 2026, and submissions are due by July 10, 2026. The specific period of performance for the contract will be determined upon award.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at Lawrence Academy, located at 20 Academy Lane, Falmouth, MA 02540.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must comply with Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 7C, Sections 44 - 59. Registration on the Town’s procurement site is required to receive any changes or addenda to the RFQ.
