Engineering Services for HUD Economic Development Initiative (EDI) Project Implementation

Background

The Town of Mathiston is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for the implementation of a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Economic Development Initiative (EDI) project. This project focuses on water improvements, which include the construction of a water well, an elevated water tank, and water distribution lines.

Work Details

The Engineer will be responsible for providing all engineering services through project closeout in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. The scope of work includes: 1) Preparing plans and specifications; 2) Distributing bid documents; 3) Assisting in bid opening and preparing bid tabulation; 4) Assisting in the execution of construction contracts; 5) Holding pre-construction conferences; and 6) Performing construction inspections including periodic reports to the Town and approving all payment requests.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed until project closeout, with proposals due by June 15, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Mathiston, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements

The Town encourages Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Woman-owned Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Section 3 eligible businesses to submit proposals. Proposals will be evaluated based on qualifications (40 points), experience (40 points), and capacity for performance (20 points). Bidders must provide detailed information regarding qualifications of assigned personnel, firm experience including previous projects and grants awarded.
