The South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) is issuing this solicitation for lawn maintenance services across multiple campuses. The goal of the contract is to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the college's outdoor spaces, which includes regular mowing, edging, and debris removal to maintain a clean and manicured appearance.

Work Details

The contractor will provide lawn maintenance services at various SLCC locations including: Lafayette Main Campus (46 acres), New Iberia Campus (45 acres), Young Memorial Campus (4 acres), Young Memorial Marine Campus (4 acres), St. Martinville Campus, and Abbeville Campus. Specific tasks include: - Mowing grass to a height no lower than 2 inches, with a minimum of 36 mowings per year. - Edging around plant beds and trimming to maintain a neat appearance. - Removal of foreign matter such as trash and debris from lawns and adjacent areas. - Application of environmentally friendly weed control chemicals. - Quarterly health and condition reports on serviced areas. - Rough cutting a 9-acre field upon request at the New Iberia Campus. Service times are scheduled for Saturdays and/or Sundays unless otherwise authorized.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last for an initial term with options for renewal for up to two additional 12-month periods, not exceeding a total of 36 months.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at multiple locations in Louisiana including Lafayette, New Iberia, Morgan City, St. Martinville, and Abbeville.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of insurance coverage including Workers Compensation, Commercial General Liability, and Automobile Liability. They must also submit a signed W-9 form, a Site Visit Verification form confirming site visits have been conducted, and proof of an Operator’s License for chemical applications. Compliance with all local laws and regulations is mandatory.
