Background

The Nevada Department of Public Safety, Nevada State Police is seeking contracted services for the cleanup and decontamination of biohazardous materials, parasitic infestations, and chemical contaminants. This initiative aims to ensure the safety and operational readiness of NSP vehicles, related equipment, substations, and uniform items that may have been exposed to hazardous substances.

Work Details

The contractor (PROVIDER) will perform cleanup, decontamination, and sanitation services for NSP vehicles and related equipment. Services include: 1. Biohazard / Non-biohazard waste cleanup of police patrol vehicles (per vehicle). 2. Biohazard / Non-biohazard waste cleanup of NSP substations (per hour). 3. Cleanup of specific items (e.g., Intoxilizer) as requested. 4. Parasitic infestation disinfection and removal (per item). 5. Chemical containment cleanup and decontamination services (per request). 6. Uniform or gear decontamination at two levels: Level 1 for non-biohazard and Level 2 for biohazard (per item). 7. Disposal of waste/materials as needed (per request). The PROVIDER must respond to service requests within specified timeframes: 60 minutes for active patrol vehicles in Las Vegas Metro area and 90 minutes outside this area but within a 100-mile radius.

Period of Performance

Services are to be provided on an as-requested basis, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations including Nevada State Police vehicles, substations, and other related facilities across the state.

Bidder Requirements

The PROVIDER must ensure all personnel are trained and certified in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding biohazardous materials. They must also pass a Department of Public Safety background check and fingerprinting. Invoices must be submitted monthly with detailed documentation including incident numbers and descriptions of services performed.
