Background

The Louisiana Department of Corrections is seeking to establish a Blanket Order Contract for the provision of coffee for resale in canteens. The contract aims to support the operations of the DOC Prison Enterprises by supplying coffee products that meet specified quality standards. The goal is to ensure a consistent supply of coffee to be sold within the prison system, enhancing the offerings available to inmates.

Work Details

The contractor will provide 6,500 cases of Community Coffee, specifically: - Brand: Community Coffee - Flavor: Dark Roast - Packaging: Vacuum Sealed Bag, 16 oz. per bag, with 6 bags per case.

Minimum Order Quantity

70 cases.

Delivery Timeframe

7-10 days after receipt of order (ARO). - Deliveries are to be made only upon request from the agency; no shipments should occur until called for by the agency.

Period of Performance

The initial contract period will commence upon award and extend until December 31, 2026. The contract may be renewed for two additional 12-month periods at the same prices, with a total contract duration not exceeding 36 months.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made to Joe Diaz at DOC Prison Enterprises-LSP CDC Canteen, located at LA State Penitentiary, 17544 Tunica Trace, Angola, LA 70712.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered in the LaGov system and comply with all applicable state laws and regulations. They must also provide a W-9 form if newly registered. Bidders are required to certify compliance with civil rights laws and must not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, veteran status, political affiliation, disability, or age.
