Background

The Jefferson Parish Department of Recreation is seeking bids for the labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide and install a shelter at the Martin Luther King Playground. This project aims to enhance recreational facilities for the community.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and necessary essentials to install one (1) 20' x 20' square style shelter with multi-rib roof panels, a concrete slab measuring 22' x 22' and 4 inches thick with steel wire reinforcement, and four (4) concrete footers. The installation will include: 1. Location of the shelter determined by the owner. 2. Owner to select roof and beam colors from a color chart. 3. Clear height under tie beam must be 8'-0”. 4. One (1) engineered stamp drawing required. 5. All concrete must be truck poured. 6. Contractor responsible for providing their own dumpster for debris disposal. 7. All work must be performed in a workmanlike manner and comply with local building codes.

Period of Performance

The contract period is set for 150 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Martin Luther King Playground located at 2400 Lester St., Harvey, LA 70058.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a Louisiana State Contractor’s License in relevant classes or subclasses as per LSA R.S. 37-2150 et seq. Additionally, bidders are required to submit an electronic bid bond with their proposal, along with proof of registration as a Jefferson Parish vendor.
