Background

The Elberta Road Widening Phase 3 project is initiated by Houston County, Georgia, aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing transportation efficiency in the area. The project involves significant construction activities to widen a section of Elberta Road, which is critical for local traffic flow and safety.

Work Details

The construction work includes: - Grading - Base placement - Paving (including overlay) over a roadway length of 0.68 miles - Installation of storm drainage systems - Implementation of an erosion, sediment, and pollution control plan - A comprehensive monitoring program. All work must comply with the Georgia Department of Transportation standard specifications and the Georgia Manual for Erosion and Sediment Control.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must hold a current Georgia Department of Transportation Certificate of Qualification. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 18, 2026.
