St. Ignace Garage Parking Lot Repaving

Background

The St. Ignace Garage Parking Lot Re-Paving project is initiated by the State of Michigan's Department of Technology, Management and Budget, specifically under the State Facilities Administration and Design and Construction Division. The mission of this project is to ensure the safe and efficient use of state facilities by maintaining infrastructure. This includes the repaving of the parking lot at the St. Ignace Garage located at 500 Ferry Lane, St. Ignace, MI 49781. The goal is to enhance accessibility and safety for users of the facility.

Work Details

The contract entails comprehensive work that includes: 1) Removal and replacement of existing pavement in specified areas; 2) Furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and related services necessary for milling and repaving; 3) Installation of bituminous paving as per design plans and specifications; 4) Mobilization costs (4% of construction lump-sum cost); 5) A contingency allowance of $20,000.00; 6) Adherence to specified materials only with no substitutions permitted post-bid opening.

Period of Performance

The contract work is scheduled for completion by September 30, 2026.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a performance bond and a payment bond for contracts exceeding $50,000.00. Each bid must include a five percent (5%) bid guarantee in the form of a certified check or bid bond. Bidders must also certify as a Qualified Disabled Veteran (QDV) or Michigan-Based Business if applicable, providing necessary documentation such as DD214 Proof of Service for QDV status.
