District Multimedia Upgrades

Background

Caledonia Community Schools is seeking bids for the District Multimedia Upgrades project, which aims to enhance multimedia and digital signage systems across multiple school facilities. The goal is to provide upgraded technology that will serve classrooms, public spaces, and common areas effectively.

Work Details

The work includes the purchase and installation of large venue multimedia systems and digital signage systems. Specific tasks include: 1. Installation of low voltage cabling (Section 27 10 00). 2. Implementation of multimedia systems designed for large venues (Section 27 41 17). 3. Setup of digital signage systems (Section 27 42 19). 4. Coordination with other contractors and stakeholders to ensure proper installation and functionality. 5. Training for Owner representatives on the use of the installed systems.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence following the award of the contract, with a completion date to be determined based on the project schedule established by the Contractor in coordination with the Owner.

Place of Performance

The project will be performed at various locations within Caledonia Community Schools, including: 1. Caledonia Elementary School 2. Caledonia High School (North and Campus) 3. Duncan Lake Middle School 4. Dutton Elementary School 5. Emmons Lake Elementary 6. Kettle Lake Elementary 7. Kraft Meadows Intermediate School 8. Paris Ridge Elementary.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, either as a Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner. Additionally, selected contractors will need to furnish performance and payment bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount. Bidders must also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including safety regulations.
