Background

The Utah Arts Alliance (UAA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the arts in the community to create an aware, empowered, and connected society. The contract for the UAA Arts Castle Phase 1 Interior Remodel and MEP Upgrades aims to improve accessibility at the Utah Arts Castle, a historic building that has undergone various alterations since its original construction in 1904. Work Details

The scope of work includes: - Selective demolition of floor finishes, subfloor, and ceiling finishes to expose structural elements for analysis by an Architect and Structural Engineer. - Demolition, removal, and proper disposal of existing building materials as specified in construction drawings. - Minor structural modifications where structural walls are removed or new accessibility ramps are constructed. - Construction of three new interior accessibility ramps with required handrails and guard railing. - Construction of three new accessible restrooms as outlined in construction drawings. - Installation of new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems throughout the project area. - Installation of new finishes and fixtures throughout the project area as detailed in construction drawings.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must be properly licensed and in good standing with the State of Utah. All contractors must have active registration in SAM.gov at the time of contract award; a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) alone is not sufficient. Contractors are responsible for ensuring that all subcontractors performing work on the project are also registered in SAM.gov and are not debarred or suspended. Additionally, contractors must comply with Davis-Bacon wage requirements and submit weekly certified payroll reports.
