Resurfacing of Various County Roads 2026, Batch 1

Background

Henry County is seeking competitive sealed bids for the resurfacing of various county roads as part of its infrastructure improvement efforts. The project aims to enhance road safety and accessibility for residents and visitors. The contract involves work on 30 County Roads, totaling approximately 8.2 miles, and is issued by the Henry County Purchasing Department.

Work Details

The contractor will provide services including: - Cement stabilized reclaimed base - Asphalt milling - Hot-mix asphalt placement - Traffic control (including temporary striping) - Asphalt patching - Cement stabilized base reclamation (8 inches thick with Portland Cement) - Milling (2 inches) - Resurfacing - Placement and sanding of asphalt prime - Building shoulders (including grassing) - Striping placement of pavement marking. All work must comply with Georgia Department of Transportation standards and be inspected by the SPLOST Department prior to payment.

Period of Performance

The work must be completed within 300 calendar days from the receipt of the written Notice to Proceed from Henry County.

The project will take place on various county roads within Henry County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be pre-qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation. They are required to submit a list of subcontractors, a Covenant of Non-Discrimination Form, and evidence demonstrating good faith efforts to meet M/WBE participation goals. Bidders must also provide proof of insurance coverage including Workers Compensation Insurance and Commercial General Liability Insurance.
