DVA-Quincy Veterans Home Metro Ethernet (SP)

Background

The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is seeking to enhance connectivity for the Department of Veterans Affairs by procuring Fiber-Based Point to Point Metro-Ethernet Transport Service. This service aims to provide wide area network (WAN) connectivity between the DVA-Quincy Veterans Home and an Illinois Century Network (ICN) Point of Presence (POP) site, facilitating improved communication and operational efficiency.

Work Details

The contract involves providing Fiber Metro Ethernet point-to-point transport service exclusively. The service must be delivered between the A end location at the Department of Veterans Affairs, 720 Sycamore Street, Quincy, IL 62301, and any designated Z end location at an ICN Point of Presence (POP). The vendor is responsible for delivering the service inside the building to the designated telecom room at both A and Z end locations. The service must terminate on a vendor-provided switch. It is critical that the vendor ensures fully operable service is available before October 31, 2026. Bidders must provide pricing for additional bandwidth tiers as specified in OPTION line items; failure to complete these will render bids non-responsive. All pricing must be all-inclusive with no additional charges post-award.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period extends until October 31, 2026, by which time the service must be fully operational.

Place of Performance

The primary place of performance is at the DVA-Quincy Veterans Home located at 720 Sycamore Street, Quincy, IL 62301. Additional services may extend to various ICN Point of Presence sites as designated.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific requirements including completing all OPTION line items for bandwidth tiers. If a bidder has an existing contract with the State of Illinois DoIT within the past twelve months, terms from that contract will apply without further negotiation.
