Background

The Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District (District) is seeking bids for the 2026 MWWD HVAC Upgrade Project. The District's mission is to provide reliable water and wastewater services to the community. This project aims to enhance the HVAC systems at the District's Administrative Office located at 7824 Mukilteo Speedway, Mukilteo, Washington.

Work Details

The work includes: - Replacement of ten outdoor condensing units and ten indoor units; - Connection of existing ducting, vents, condensate drains, and thermostats; - Installation of one 1-ton indoor and outdoor mini split package; - Extension of existing exterior concrete pads; - Modifications to existing disconnects; - Installation of temperature control dampers with regulators; - Installation of transfer grills in existing offices; - Relocation of existing thermostats; - Startup and comfort balancing. The contractor will provide all civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and incidental work necessary for a complete and operable installation as per the Contract Provisions and Scope. Specific equipment includes Carrier systems: three 5-Ton Split Systems (Carrier 26TPA860 + 59TP Furnace), six 4-Ton Carrier (26TPA848 + 59TP Furnace), one 3-Ton Carrier (26SCA436 + 59SC Furnace), or approved equal.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence no later than July 15, 2026, following the Board of Commissioners' award of contract. It must be completed within 180 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed.

The work will be performed at the Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District Office located at 7824 Mukilteo Speedway, Mukilteo, Washington.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must attend one of two mandatory pre-bid conferences scheduled for June 17, 2026, or June 23, 2026. Bidders are required to comply with prevailing wage requirements as set forth by the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries. The contractor must also provide a performance bond as per RCW 39.08.010.
