Hospitality Legal Services

Background

The Seattle Convention Center (SCC), a King County public facilities district, has issued this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify qualified firms and individuals to provide specialized legal services that support the operations of the SCC. The SCC seeks legal representation with demonstrated experience in hospitality law, particularly involving convention centers, hotels, and related public entities. The goal is to engage a contractor who can effectively address the legal needs of the SCC.

Work Details

The selected consultant will provide specialized legal services that include: - Advising on hospitality law - Drafting and negotiating contracts related to events and facility use - Ensuring compliance with regulatory matters such as ADA accessibility and liquor licensing - Supporting litigation or disputes involving contracts or operational issues. The specific Scope of Work is detailed in Attachment C of the RFQ.

Period of Performance

The contract period is expected to commence on August 1, 2026, and conclude by July 31, 2029. The SCC reserves the right to extend the contract for two additional one-year terms at its discretion.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the Seattle Convention Center located at 705 Pike Street, Seattle, Washington.

Bidder Requirements

To qualify for this procurement, bidders must have a minimum of five years of experience in hospitality law relevant to the SCC's needs and must be licensed or registered to conduct business in Washington State. Participation by minority- and women-owned businesses is encouraged but not mandatory.
