Background

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking a qualified contractor to perform crack sealing on state highways as part of their mission to maintain and improve the state's transportation infrastructure. The goal of this contract is to ensure the longevity and safety of highway surfaces through effective maintenance practices, specifically targeting cracks that can lead to further deterioration if left untreated.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for mobilization to the site, setup, teardown, and monitoring of traffic control devices. Additionally, the contractor will perform ACP crack cleaning and sealing. The work must adhere to standard specification 00746 as outlined in the bidding documents. The project includes all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and permits required for completion. Any incidental work not specifically itemized but reasonably inferred from the contract documents must also be provided at no additional cost.

Period of Performance

The period of performance for this contract begins upon notice to proceed and extends until substantial completion by October 2, 2026. Final completion is expected by October 9, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will take place on state highways located in Polk and Benton Counties within Oregon.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) prevailing wage rates applicable to public works contracts. Contractors are required to have a written policy preventing sexual harassment and discrimination against employees in protected classes. All subcontractors performing work must be licensed according to ORS Chapter 701. The contract is subject to State Buy America provisions requiring that all steel, iron, coatings for steel and iron, and manufactured products used in the project be produced in the United States.
