Bridging the Gap: Strengthening the System Response to Domestic Violence Forum

Background

The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) #122090 to establish a contract for the 2026 Bridging the Gap: Strengthening the System Response to Domestic Violence Forum. The forum aims to bring together professionals from various sectors involved in domestic violence response, including victim advocates, law enforcement, and child advocacy professionals. The goal is to examine innovative practices in domestic violence prevention and intervention, enhance collaboration across systems, and improve outcomes for victims and communities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide a conference facility, lodging, audio/visual equipment, and food/beverage services for approximately 225 individuals. Specific requirements include: - A well-maintained conference facility that complies with federal, state, and local codes. - Lodging for 40 single and double-occupancy rooms for non-local staff on October 18-19, 2026. - An additional 110 rooms for participants. - Meeting space requirements including one main conference room set in rounds for 225 participants and three breakout rooms for 75 participants each. - Catering services including all-day coffee service and hot buffet or plated lunches for both days. - Audio/Visual equipment such as microphones, projectors, and an on-site technician throughout the event.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and will last for one year.

Place of Performance

The event will take place in one of the following regions of Virginia: Richmond, Charlottesville, Williamsburg, Hampton, Norfolk or Virginia Beach.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must be able to furnish all labor, materials, and resources as specified. They should have experience in providing similar services. Additionally, offerors must comply with any applicable certifications such as DSBSD certification if they are a small business.
