Alkek Student Success Commons

Background

The Alkek Student Success Commons project is initiated by Texas State University, aimed at enhancing student support services on the San Marcos Campus. The project focuses on transforming existing spaces to create a modern Student Success Commons that fosters academic and personal growth for students.

Work Details

The scope of work includes the replacement of existing interior spaces on Level 6 of Alkek Library with new office suites and meeting spaces. Specific tasks include: - Making safe and protecting existing systems to remain; - Selective demolition and appropriate debris disposal for existing spaces and equipment to be removed; - Construction of new offices, meeting rooms, and support spaces; - Modification and expansion of existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), network, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and security systems; - Any other work required to complete the scope as described in the Construction Documents. The total construction cost limitation for the project is set at $2,200,000.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from June 8, 2026, when it was released, until June 30, 2026, when bids are due.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at Texas State University's San Marcos Campus.

Bidder Requirements
