Background

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) is seeking a contractor for the Big Creek Hatchery Adult Fish Holding Pond Improvements. The goal of this project is to enhance the facilities at the hatchery, which is critical for supporting the agency's mission of managing fish and wildlife resources in Oregon. This contract will encompass all necessary labor, materials, transportation, equipment, permits, and services required to complete the project as outlined in the contract documents.

Work Details

The work under this contract includes: 1. Installation of bulkheads at piers for water containment to ensure the area remains dry. 2. Demolition activities as indicated on the plans or as necessary. 3. Preparation and installation of a new concrete divider wall, including associated foundation, reinforcing, and embedments. 4. Cleaning of the existing slab and roughening in designated areas followed by coating with epoxy grout to achieve a level surface transversely.

Period of Performance

The project is expected to commence within seven (7) calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Substantial completion is targeted for September 22, 2026, with final completion by September 29, 2026.

The work will be performed at Big Creek Hatchery located at 92892 Ritter Road, Astoria, OR 97103.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed with the State of Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) prior to bidding on Public Improvement Contracts. Additionally, all subcontractors must also be registered with the CCB before commencing work under this contract. Bidders are required to have a Public Works bond filed with the CCB before starting work on the project.
