Fleet Department Police Vehicle Oil Change Services

Background

The City of Kingsland Fleet Department is seeking qualified local vendors to provide oil change services exclusively for its police vehicles. The department currently manages approximately 60 police vehicles and aims to ensure their maintenance through routine oil changes as needed throughout the contract term. The goal is to maintain operational efficiency and support police operations.

Work Details

The selected vendor will provide oil change services for the City of Kingsland's police vehicles, adhering to manufacturer recommendations and standard industry practices. The services are strictly limited to oil changes, which include the removal and replacement of engine oil and oil filters as applicable. Specific requirements include: - Performing services at the vendor's local facility unless otherwise approved by the City. - Having an officer or authorized representative sign off on completed service paperwork. - Forwarding a copy of the completed paperwork along with any additional service or parts recommendations to the Fleet Director. - Coordinating scheduling to minimize vehicle downtime. No diagnostic work, repairs, tire services, brake work, fluid flushes, or other parts replacements shall be performed unless separately authorized in writing by the City.

Period of Performance

The contract will be for one (1) year from the date of award, with no automatic renewal unless mutually agreed upon in writing by the City.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the vendor's local facility within or serving the Kingsland area.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must be properly licensed and insured to perform oil change services in Georgia. They should demonstrate the ability to service police vehicles reliably and timely. Preference will be given to vendors located within or serving the local Kingsland area.
