Environmental Services

Background

The City of Portsmouth, Virginia, is seeking qualified environmental services engineering firms to provide environmental consulting services on an 'as needed' basis. The goal of this contract is to support city projects of varying scale and scope. Firms must be licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia to perform environmental consulting work.

Work Details

The selected firms will provide technical support for city projects, including but not limited to: conducting building surveys for asbestos, lead, and other hazardous materials; preparing abatement plans and specifications; ensuring contractor compliance with applicable regulations for asbestos and lead abatement; conducting Phase I and Phase II site assessments; performing wetlands delineation and wetland mitigation plans; assisting with environmental permitting issues. All services must be provided by qualified, certified personnel.

Period of Performance

The contract period shall be for one year, with the option to renew for four additional one-year terms.

City of Portsmouth, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements

Firms must be licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia to perform environmental consulting work. The City encourages participation by Small, Women-Owned, Minority-Owned (SWAM/MBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned (SDV) businesses.
