Southampton Fertilizer - Delivered

Background

The Commonwealth of Virginia, through its Department of Corrections, is seeking to procure compounded fertilizer for agricultural purposes. The goal of this contract is to ensure the timely delivery and application of fertilizer to support the agricultural operations managed by the agency.

Work Details

The contractor is required to deliver and apply 15 tons of compounded fertilizer with an analysis of 46-0-0. The delivery must be completed within 7 calendar days of notification by the farm manager. The contractor must have the necessary equipment and manpower for both delivery and application at variable rates as specified. The total rate in pounds per acre must be provided along with the total acres requested. No substitutions of products are allowed without written consent from the Contract Officer. Delivery will occur at Southampton Agribusiness located at 14545 Old Belfield Road, Capron, VA 23829, and must include all material and delivery fees.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period begins upon notification by the farm manager and must be completed within 7 calendar days, specifically by June 17, 2026.

Bidder Requirements

This solicitation is set-aside for small business award priority. Bidders must provide a current Certificate of Insurance prior to the start of work. Additionally, bidders must complete the bid form on pages 13-14 to be considered for this contract.
