Background

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is issuing a contract for bridge painting services across various locations in Fauquier, Culpeper, and Rappahannock counties. The goal of this contract is to maintain and enhance the structural integrity and aesthetic appearance of bridges within these districts. Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Recoating existing structures as specified by federal IDs 05601, 05634, 14770, and 24751; 2. Environmental protection and health safety measures; 3. Disposal of materials associated with the project; 4. Providing NBIS access under bridges; 5. Maintenance of traffic during construction activities; and 6. Mobilization efforts to ensure proper setup at job sites.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by June 7, 2027.

Place of Performance

The work will take place at various bridge locations within Fauquier, Culpeper, and Rappahannock counties in Virginia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must meet prequalification requirements set forth by VDOT. The contract may require compliance with MBE/WBE participation goals as well as adherence to prevailing wage rates established by the Department of Labor.
