Background

The 2026 BRT Pavement Maintenance Project is issued by the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (IPTC or IndyGo) with the goal of maintaining and improving the pavement along designated Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) routes in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for various pavement maintenance tasks including: 1) HMA Full Depth Patching; 2) HMA Partial Depth Patching; 3) Installation of Concrete Medians; 4) Application of Pavement Markings; 5) Removal of existing curbs and trolley/rail facilities; 6) Stormwater management; 7) Various milling and surface treatments as specified in the project documents.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to be completed during the 2026 construction season, with a Notice to Proceed anticipated within fifteen (15) days following contract award in July 2026.

Place of Performance

The project will take place along designated BRT routes on Capitol Avenue, 18th Street, Meridian Street, and College Avenue in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered in IndyGo’s e-procurement software application Bonfire to submit bids. They are required to complete and submit Indiana Contractors Bid for Public Work - Form 96 along with their bid proposal. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate compliance with M/W/V/DOBE participation goals set at: MBE – 15%, WBE – 8%, VBE – 3%, DOBE – 1%. Bidders must also provide evidence of qualification under Indiana Code for specific construction categories.
