Geologic mapping for the STATEMAP FY25 project

Work Details

Dr. Chunzeng Wang, who has extensive experience in mapping volcanic rocks in Maine and China, is selected for this project due to his qualifications and expertise.

Period of Performance

The contract is set to begin on July 1, 2026, and will end on May 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in specific geographic locations within the southern half of the Beetle Mountain and northern half of the Haymock Lake quadrangles in Maine.

Bidder Requirements

This contract is funded entirely by money provided to the Maine Geological Survey by the National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program administered by the U.S. Geological Survey. The selection process was competitive, with Dr. Wang named in the current grant as a qualified geologist.
