Executive Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), is initiating market research in preparation for the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) procurement cycle for the Electro-Therapeutic Modalities for Pain Management (ETMPM) and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) Units and Accessories. This procurement effort represents a significant modernization and expansion of the VA's national non-opioid pain-management programs. This procurement effort consolidates the requirements from the legacy contract number 36C79122D0005, which is currently suppling the TENS units and accessories, and it expands the product line to include Interferential Current (IFC) units, Short Wave Diathermy units, Neuromodulation devices, and associated electrodes, applicators, batteries, chargers, cables, and clinical-use accessories.
