FCC Butner BUT Interior Repairs - Flooring System The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has issued solicitation 15B10626Q00000017 for the award of a firm fixed-price contract entitled BUT Interior Repairs at Federal Correctional Complex at FCC Butner. The Statement of Work/Specifications attachment included with the solicitation posting will provide complete requirements for the project The project must start 10 days from the notice to proceed. The performance period for the project will be 91 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238330 with a corresponding small business size standard of $19.0 million. The optional site visit will be on June 23, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. EST. The solicitation will be distributed solely through www.SAM.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The website provides download instructions. Work Details The project involves the complete installation of a high-performance resinous flooring system in three separate areas: - FCI-I Food Service Kitchen Area (approximately 4,200 square feet) - LSCI Food Service Kitchen Area (approximately 7,800 square feet) - A small repair area around kettles in FCI-II (approximately 220 square feet). The flooring system must be seamless, durable, chemical-resistant, and thermally stable, suitable for heavy-use institutional environments. Specific requirements include: - A textured, hand-troweled urethane urea mortar system designed for durability and slip resistance. - The system must withstand continuous heavy foot traffic, rolling loads, aggressive cleaning procedures, and exposure to hot water and steam. - Installation includes mechanically prepared concrete substrates meeting SPS A to SPS C preparation standards. - A pigmented polyurethane sealer must be applied for chemical resistance and long-term cleanability. - Cove base installation may be required to match existing conditions.
