Summary: Background The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is issuing this solicitation for noxious weed control services at the Lostwood National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) and Crosby Wetland Management District (WMD) in North Dakota. The goal of this contract is to manage and control invasive noxious weeds to protect native ecosystems and promote biodiversity within these protected areas. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for mapping and spraying noxious weeds as outlined in the attached Statement of Work. Specific tasks include: - Conducting a site visit to assess the extent of noxious weed infestation. - Developing a comprehensive plan for weed control, including techniques and methods to be used. - Utilizing appropriate equipment for spraying herbicides safely and effectively. - Providing documentation of all activities performed, including maps of treated areas and reports on the effectiveness of treatments. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from June 29, 2026, to September 30, 2026. Place of Performance Lostwood National Wildlife Refuge and Crosby Wetland Management District, North Dakota. Bidder Requirements This opportunity is set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience in noxious weed control services, provide a technical approach that includes understanding of requirements, techniques, methods, equipment to be utilized, and a timeline/schedule. Additionally, bidders must provide examples of past performance with similar projects.
