This Source Sought Notice (SSN) is issued for market information and planning for future acquisition in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). Responses to notice 36C26226Q0940 will improve the understanding of the Government s requirement and industry capabilities. It will enhance the Government s ability to obtain quality supplies and allow for potential offerors to judge whether or how they can satisfy the Government s requirement. This is not a solicitation announcement. Responses to this notice cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Information received shall be safeguarded adequately from unauthorized disclosure. Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 22 (NCO 22) is seeking sources to provide a security equipment upgrade for the Cooperative Studies Program, Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center (CRPCC) located in Albuquerque, NM. The CRPCC operates as a DEA/FDA registered facility that manufactures and stores pharmaceutical products and medical devices. To comply with registration and licensing mandates, the facility requires updated security systems to enhance safety and operational efficiency. Work Details The contract involves upgrading security systems through a phased approach, which includes: - Establishing a new security network with headend equipment in Computer Room 146 and a new fiber backbone to Annex IDF and Electrical Room 158. - Installing (7) cameras for exterior coverage of parking spaces, building perimeters, and entry points, utilizing existing rooftop conduit infrastructure. - Providing an Access Control System that includes multi-class access card readers, door position switches, request-to-exit motion devices, and necessary infrastructure for (3) openings. Specific equipment to be provided includes: - Headend Equipment in Computer Room 146: - (1) Avigilon FIPS NVR 120TB - (1) 24-Port PoE Switch, 370W, 10GbE SFP+ - (1) UPS Battery Backup - Various Cat6 and Fiber Infrastructure components. - Access Control Equipment in Telephone Room 186: - (1) Large Access Control Enclosure - Backup Batteries and Access Control Cables. - Field Hardware for Access Control Openings: - Installation at Office 145, Office 144, and between Lobby 102 and Corridor 159. The system must support future expansions for access control capabilities and include workstations for monitoring and management. Period of Performance The period of performance is one year after award. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be OEM authorized dealers or distributors verified by an authorization letter from the OEM. No gray market items will be accepted.
