Background

The City of Detroit Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) is seeking proposals from qualified respondents to provide substation environmental remediation services for the Public Lighting Department. The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with environmental standards and effectively manage remediation efforts at substations within the city.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive environmental remediation services, which may include but are not limited to: site assessment, soil and groundwater testing, hazardous material identification and removal, compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, and reporting on remediation progress. The contractor must also provide a detailed work plan outlining methodologies and timelines for the completion of services.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a period of one year from the date of award.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various substation locations throughout the City of Detroit.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit notarized City of Detroit Consolidated Affidavits, a sample employment application, a Certificate of Insurance compliant with coverage requirements, and three years of financial information (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Statement of Cash Flows). Additionally, bidders must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) and comply with hiring policy compliance as per Chapter 17 of the 2019 Detroit City Code.
