Summary: Background The contract is issued by the 28th Civil Engineer Squadron (28 CES) at Ellsworth Air Force Base (AFB), South Dakota. The goal of this contract is to restore and enhance the basketball courts and aerobics room in Building 7706, ensuring they meet safety and aesthetic standards for use by personnel. Work Details The contractor will perform the following tasks: 1. Mechanically abrade the existing sports coating on both the basketball court and aerobics room floors to prepare for optimal adhesion of a new coating. 2. Apply a new high-performance acrylic or polyurethane sports court coating system, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications regarding thickness, drying times, and number of coats. The coating must withstand continuous exposure to alkaline solutions with a pH of 12 for at least 24 hours without degradation. Additionally, replace four volleyball net pillar caps, permanently paint lines for four pickleball courts, and paint lines for HAMR fitness testing. Period of Performance The contract will be performed within a timeframe starting from the date of notice to proceed receipt and is expected to be completed within 15 calendar days.
