Upcoming Project at Forest Municipal School District

Background

The Forest Municipal School District is seeking bids for cafeteria renovations at multiple schools, including Forest High School, Hawkins Middle School, and Forest Elementary School. The goal of the project is to enhance the cafeteria facilities to better serve students and improve the overall dining experience.

Work Details

The project includes renovations at Forest High School's cafeteria, which will consist of a new ceiling system, lighting, rubber base, wall finishes, serving line, and drinking fountain. Additive alternates include: - New serving lines for Hawkins Middle School and Forest Elementary School - Interior kitchen upgrades at Forest High School - Installation of porcelain floor tile in the cafeteria dining area at Forest High School - New cafeteria seating - Roll-up doors at Forest High School - A new washer and dryer area for the Forest Elementary School cafeteria.

Period of Performance

The work associated with the kitchen and serving line at Forest High School, as well as the serving lines at Hawkins Middle School and Forest Elementary School, shall be substantially completed by July 30, 2026. The entire project must be fully completed no later than September 1, 2026.

Place of Performance

Renovations will take place at three locations: - Forest High School (511 Cleveland Street, Forest, MS 39074) - Hawkins Middle School (803 Oak Street, Forest, MS 39074) - Forest Elementary School (513 Cleveland Street, Forest, MS 39074).

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and must be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful bidder.
